We just love simple solutions to customize everyday items. In this case, the item in question is a simple roller blind. Take a look at how Steph dressed up the blind after the jump…

Steph, from BirdHouse, painted this tree silhouette on the IKEA Enje roller blind in her bathroom. This is a fun way to create a one-of-a-kind window treatment. If you like the project but think you lack the artist's touch, you could also stencil a pattern onto a roller blind. Similarly, you could place the roller blind over an image and then trace it with pencil before painting it.

Cute idea. I like it...
me too.
Awesome. Nicely done but not too crazy. Love it.
blah
I like it!
I like this. I found a small hole in one of my sheers the other day. I'm inspired to cut a hummingbird silhouette out of sheer fabric and applique it over the hole. I'd get a similar shadow effect. Hmm...
Nice idea, rapunzel. Great little IKEA hack! Not overdone, simple and clean.
Love it. But Ikea no longer sells these shades in the US. Sadface!
Excellent. Well done!
Cute.
Nice.
I love this!
Love it!!!
I like allusions to natural beauty in a home, and this almost feels like a view. Good job.
clever decorating detail~ great!
Nice! It's also easy to overlay fabric on these and stitch to hold (the white shade fabric is just taped on the roller...I pulled off and removed the bottom rail, put the fabric on, and then retaped and re-installed rail). They're adaptable to all kinds of craftiness.
We did a similar thing in my husband's Washington Capitals man cave - used vinyl decals on the roller blind with all sorts of hockey quotes. A great solution if you aren't as great with a paintbrush - and they will be removable later, if need be.
You should put a bird on it.
SO SIMPLY, SO PRETTY.
