From Celestyn:
This is a pretty great "up-cycle" done by my super talented husband for the front office of our family business, Repla Prints. He broke down old pallets (FREE!!) and aged them by rubbing them with steel wool that had been soaking in apple cider vinegar before putting them onto the wall. He used the ugly existing desk and made an amazing privacy cover around it. The top is 2x6's glued and clamped together and sanded for a smooth finish. For around $200 (the price of some lumber and paint) we have a makeover we love!
Thanks, Brad & Celestyn!

White Enamel Four-P...
WOW.
Completely transforms the space. Adds warmth and character.
Really awesome - great addition to the office. I think something like this would look even more spectacular in a larger room.
Love!
Fantastic! I would like to know how the boards were mounted to the wall? Glue? Nails? This would be something I might like to do in the future. :)
Impressive! Nice work!
I can't believe that is the same room. Wow! Very nice.
that looks awesome, i would also choose either a larger piece of art or a small gallery.... and i would get a reallly tall leafy plant instead of the smaller one you have there.
this is an amazing transformation. i absolutely love it.
Your husband is the shit.
Horizontal wood walls look really nice. This really redefines "wood paneling" for me.
I was ready to dislike this but as SABURKE said, WOW, simply WOW..
NUTTERBUDDY: LOL!! :0D
Wow, this is maybe my favorite Before & After yet.
Very nice - shows what vision and creativity can do.
It's gorgeous.
Congrats on getting 13 comments before someone freaked out about ZOMG pallets are chemically treated and they will off-gas and kill all your famileez!
@barlowgirl...*snort*
Omg. I want this right now!
Love the transformation. I would hire you just based on that space.
It gives a old factory loft look to the room. It's a little dark for my tastes, but I suspect that it's just the photo (the desk face looks normal exposure, which would darken the pallet wall).
Love it!
Clarification, was the steel wool or the boards soaked in the vinegar?
Love it!
Looks great!...helps to have one of those 'super-talented husbands'--I've got the ideas, but the husband lacks the talent--I know, I know--what's holding me back, right?
Impressive $200 makeover...looks like WAY more was spent. The execution is very professional looking. Somebody knows what they're doing.
WOW one accent wall and it changes everything (for the better)!
Agree...love the transformation. From blah to "come on in" !
Thanks everyone! We soaked steel wool in apple cider vinegar for about 24 hours (if you want it to appear even more aged, let it soak for longer) and brushed the pallet wood with it. Brad mounted plywood to the wall first and nailed the treated pallet planks to that. It was time consuming but well worth it.
He is not a contractor - just very talented. (We are in the decorated apparel / promotional products business.)
Completely agree about the art - We're trying to find the perfect art for the space, this is just what we had lying around.
It's not as dark in person as the picture makes it look.
Looking forward to our next project - our unfinished basement!!
The wood added much needed warmth. Good job!
Very nice!
yes. please don't lick your pallet wall--that would be very unhealthy. splinters...
the wall is amazing but i'm more impressed by the desk surround and bookcase that he built, it looks amazing yet also reused the desk you already had, just made a "slipcover" for it, kind of. very nice!!

That's unbelievable! So beautiful and inexpensive!
I hate wood panel walls (prob. due to too much exposure to bad 60s/70s wood paneling) but this wall is fantastic! Congratulations.
