From Gonçalo:

We live in the countryside around Lisbon, Portugal. We had this old furniture from my grandparents, brought from Africa in the ’70s. I wanted to surprise my mother with a new room… but keeping the family memories!
I thought about a charming and relaxing environment with a little romance. All the walls and furniture were painted in golden gray. I made some changes on the furniture (color, metals, etc) and added some contrast details on the bed. The idea was to get the perception of a continuous relaxing beige from floor to ceiling in order to make the room look bigger. Curtains also in beige from ceiling to floor and from one wall to another, to give the perception of height.
Wallpaper was used to extend the headboard and give some romantic look with the contrast white/beige. White, purple and lilac pillows were added in order to give some color and contrast, with lavender and silver frames for the pics.
I took about a week to get this done, and she was very happy with the final result! Not bad for an amateur, hum? 🙂

Thank you, Gonçalo!
