Top Romantic Chairs: Tantra, Adela, Esse & Five More

Introduced in 2001, the Tantra Chair is the best of breed (and I’ve put it below the fold this year), and has the most convincing argument that this thing is truly romantic. From the Mexican designers behind Balastudio, their Adela chair “is not just a chair, but a sculpture to make love.”

From Liberator: Bedroom Adventure Gear, comes the Esse, which seems to be thinking the same thing at the Tantra, but at at much more approachable price point. This is what they say: “Discover 360 degrees of the best sex of your life with every angle designed to provide the best access, sweetest support, and most enticing possibilities.”

Okay, not quite big enough to be a true chair, the Love Bumper is nevertheless a welcome addition to the list at a lower price from this hip Vancouver design shop. They have a bigger shape/models here.

From Spain comes this visually lighter version with the classic shape: “The Buddha Tantra sofa is a unique piece of furniture that combines sophistication and ergonomics.”

This memory foam lounger with wild animal aesthetic bills itself as good for many rooms, including the bedroom if you’re feeling “wild or mild.”

Just kidding! This is actually a classic modern design by this Indian designer who lives in Amsterdam.
