052512-poste.jpgPoste Smartphone Wallet
$32.36
Mochi Things

I'm always equally amazed/impressed/horrified at how much my female friends tote around throughout the day in their purses. But there's a growing number who are ditching the purse and just carrying around a wallet to hold or stow away in a coat pocket. I think a few of them will be interested in this wristlet style wallet designed to accommodate for the usual money/cards, but also has room for smartphones, small digital cameras, earbuds, memory sticks, and other accessories for the modern wired woman. Available in 5 colors (I like the gray option).

LimCTableLamp.jpgLim C Table Lamp by Pablo Pardo for Pablo
$250.00
Design Within Reach

Since converting our dining table into a secondary desk I've been on the hunt for a task lamp with two features in mind: LED lighting for warm-white illumination and a minimal visual presence. There's a bevy of task and table lamps available, but Pablo Pardo's design is the first I've happened upon which seems to be capable of being "there" when turned off, while disappearing into the background while turned off. Rated for 50,000 hours of use and 85% more efficient than incandescent lamps, the Lim C is also available as a floor and variable height version, but I've got my eyes set on this ultra-slim magnetic mount model.

2012FFcustomglasses.jpgCustom Family Glassware
• $12 each
Uncommon Goods

I feel like I spend half my day picking up random glasses around the houses and bringing them to the sink. So I was recently thinking to buy each family member a different looking glass (for water, primarily) that would be theirs for the entire day and these family glasses are a super cute option.

2012newskiphop.jpgDino & Hippo Zoo Packs
• $14 (lunch box), $20 (backpack)
Skip Hop

I see these Zoo bags all around my neighborhood and Skip Hop has just introduced two new members of the pack: a dinosaur and a hippo. Get a head start on the school year or use for summer camp.

2012gotosleepbook.jpgSeriously, Just Go To Sleep (Kid-Friendly Version)

• $14
Buy Olympia

Unless you've been living under a rock you no doubt have heard about the very funny and very relatable book Go the F**k to Sleep. Want the humor without all the bad words? Here's a version you can share with the kids...right before you turn their light out.

Audyssey Audio Dock Air
$349.99
The Ghostly Store

If you're invested in Apple audio, Airplay enabled options have finally expanded enough to the point there's a healthy selection of wireless speakers to choose from. The Audyssey Audio Dock Air is notable for a two-sided design where dual 3/4" tweeters, 3" woofers, and 4" passive bass radiators that can serve uncompressed, wireless streaming sound to two sides of a room at once in unassuming fashion from your iTunes library (from your computer or iOS device). And unlike some Airplay speakers, the Audyssey BassXT brings the low end with enough bump in the trunk for bass heavy tunes, perfect for spring-summer BBQs...

2012CrumpledCityJr.jpgCrumpled City Junior Maps

• $15.95
Brooklyn 5 & 10

It's tempting to just use maps on your smart phone, but kids should know how to read a map and what better time to teach them than when you're on vacation. Crumpled City, creator of a durable map you can literally crumple up instead of fold and refold has made a Junior version of their maps which are colorful and appealing. So far they have New York, London, Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.

OneLessDrop Power Cord Anchor
$25.00
Heckler Design

We've reviewed a few of Heckler Design's home office accessories in the past, both big and small, and now they're back with their smallest solution for home office organization bliss. A solid hunk of recycled aluminum, the OneLessDrop puts an end to dropping or losing power plugs for the MacBook, iPad, or iPhone off the desk with a dual anchor design; the top groove keeps cords in place, but can be easily removed, while the second slot holds cords more permanently. Nice to see a Kickstarter project come to fruition.

051112-lomofisheye.jpgLomography Fisheye One in Cherry or Vanilla
$62.90
Lomography

Here's a last second Mother's Day gift idea if you can get yourself to a Lomography store or dealer: buy her one of these retro Fisheye cameras in cherry or vanilla with a few rolls of film, and package it with a road trip itinerary to take her somewhere relaxing or adventurous (depending upon her usual preferences) for an upcoming weekend. Of course, it doesn't have to be this camera, but something about the colorful form factor and shooting with old school film seems to promise a better getaway...

2012FFAAdams.jpgBirds of Paradise Rug
• $295 - $3500
Angela Adams

I love all Angela Adams' rugs, but this one in particular pulls together so many popular baby and kids room colors: mustard, rusty orange, muted turquoise and even a bit of fuchsia. 100% New Zealand wood.
