Matt shares the story behind Moss Design's work on this project: We gave this home a natural-light focused overhaul, which not only makes the space more beautiful, but creates the opportunity for reduced electrical lighting - which is kinder to the planet. We echo this theme in our choice of flooring, where we laid down reclaimed shipping crates to create a unique and eye-catching floor and staircase.

Walking into Ross's Midtown apartment, a visitor is immediately struck by a sense of space as well as style. For a 1,000 square foot apartment, the rooms all feel so light, airy and spacious. It is no accident that the space takes on this quality. Ross, being a creative person, one with clear vision for aesthetic and layout, took an existing space and over the span of only 5 months transformed it by removing walls and brightening it with paint, well proportioned furniture and playful accents.
Ever like a certain look, but can't quite put your finger on what the style is? This past year we started a catalog of eight distinct decor styles and highlighted everything from kids rooms, to furniture and even light fixtures that fit within these categories. Here we have them all in one place for your browsing pleasure (even more links after the jump!):
• Classic Glam

• New Traditional
• Organic Modern
• Simple Chic

Bring on the drama! It's always fun to see modern pieces that go a little over the top. You can use the pieces sparingly, mixed in with other styles like in this dining room, or go balls to wall and outfit your entire home in the look. To help you achieve the style in your home, we've rounded up ten resources for dramatic modern furnishings and accessories. More
The clear glass desk is a perfect solution for the small space home office. For starters, it practically disappears from the eye line, keeping the room from appearing overstuffed with furniture. And no matter how dark the room or surrounding furnishings, a transparent desk adds a light, modern touch to the space. If you're a fan of the look, check out our roundup of clear desks after the jump… More
