Jill tells us about her work on this home: I really enjoy getting to know my clients and creating a space that speaks not only to their functional needs, but also feels like their home when they walk in the door. This apartment is a one bedroom in a co-op building on West End Ave. The vibe for the space was a mix of classic, more traditional pieces combined with some rustic and Old World Spanish notes.

De-Cor's founder, Deepali Pareek, had a vision for bringing global goods to Southern California. To do this, she set up shop in an 8,000 square foot building, outfitting it with the help of AkarStudios to create an open warehouse concept, and stocking it with handcrafted, antique and vintage items from South East Asia.

I love rustic, cabin-y spaces, especially during this part of the year, when all I want to do is curl up in front of a roaring fire. But I also love color, something you typically don't see a lot of in the cabin world. So of course I fell in love with this home in Spain, which is the perfect mixture of rustic warmth and cheerful color. More

The painstakingly detailed renovation and transportive and exotic atmosphere are some of the first things you'll notice about Kathleen's masterpiece of a home. Inspired by the East's religions, concepts of space, and use of materials, Kathleen took a number of years to transform a sagging carriage house into a luxurious living space.

Location: East Nashville, Tennessee

Ruthie and Will's East Nashville home is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from some of the most unique little stores and cafes in town — I mean that literally; they can cross the street and buy a freshly brewed cup of coffee! That's not the only reason their home is such a jewel; this little place is packed with history and character, and Ruthie has thoughtfully filled it with things that are meaningful to her family.

Name: Robert Harbour, set designer and residential designer, + Tulsa & Chopper
Location: Echo Park, Los Angeles, California

Years lived in: 6 months

While other potential homebuyers walked away from the house that had too many quirks, Robert instead found much charm in the funky layout and unique character. The home had a basement-like nook right off the entrance, which he turned into a quiet mediation room. It also had an attic, which become his guest bedroom and retreat.
