This month is all about color, so I thought I would share a fabulous color makeover that a friend of mine had recently posted on her blog. She sanded and painted this great side table she found at the Garland Road Thrift Store in Dallas, Texas (price...$14!). Check out the finished product after the jump…
The paint color she used is Martha Stewart Milk Pail: a medium aqua blue that isn't too shocking. The finished result is such a great complement to her chocolate brown wall and white television stand, and has inspired me to find something in my own home to makeover with this pop of color.
She is also in the process of re-painting all the rooms in her new house, so we'll be watching Becki's blog for more great colors to share!

I would have passed this by in the thrift shop because I would have thought I would have had to change out the legs to something simpler, but once it is painted--it looks great just the way it is.

Hey painting anything from the 70's is a good idea. Not my favorite decade, but the furniture seems well built and looks great with paint. Great job on the TV stand also.
by my calculations, i estimate the shelf opening to be approximately 9-10" high which is too short for standard 12" records therefore i must disagree with the claims that it is a record holder. nice improvement regardless.
