Look at that! What is that? How did they do that? This transformation was achieved by adding an intriguing new product called O’verlays to an Ikea Rast. Designed by Danika Herrick and Cheryle Rhuda, O’verlays are decorative fretwork pieces made of a semi-rigid composite material that you can use to adorn basic furniture pieces.

They’ve used them on mirrors, windows, doors, room dividers, tables, and more. Check out the O’verlays website to see all the available patterns (a new overlapping ovals design coming soon!), to purchase pieces, to see amazing examples of O’verlays in action, and to read about the story of developing their product.
