Hi! My name is Monica Bennett and please let me introduce you to my Silver Girl — my beautiful 2012, 27′ International Signature Airstream travel trailer. This beauty accompanies us on all of our Pacific Northwest non-stop outdoor adventures. She offers up a cozy and relaxing retreat after a day spent outdoors trekking through lush green moss carpeted rain forests, to fly fishing some of the most crystal clear rivers. These adventures are only a few of the many we experience here.

My inspiration for the decor of my Airstream comes from the places we have visited. Everything inside our Silver Girl is a memory keeper. Take for example the woolen woven Mexican rug that graces our floor that hubby picked up on one of his trips to Mexico. We have a special pillow that I picked up at a super cute boutique in the town of Whitefish, Montana. My little milk glass hen bowl that holds butter reminds of the time we stopped in the town of Burns, Oregon where we had the best lunch and visited an antique shop where I found the little treasure. On my kitchen counter is a cobalt blue ceramic pinch pot that holds my cooking salt that I found in a little boutique in Miles City, Montana.

My tiny kitchen pantry is also stocked with goodness from local markets we have visited such as huckleberry honey from a roadside farm stand in Montana (when the temperature that day was over 100!), handmade garlic powder that kicks all other powders out the door that came from the Rolsyn, WA farmers market and little pots of gold as I call them, preserves made from heirloom pear orchards from the island of Orcas in the San Juan Islands of Washington State by Girl Meets Dirt. In my bath is a stash of plumeria soap picked up a local farmer’s market in Roslyn and huckleberry lotion from Driggs, Idaho.

These are just some of the reasons I adore my little silver home on wheels. She holds all past and future memories that we experience while traveling the roads of the beautiful Pacific Northwest (and beyond!).
