I love looking at shelving. good video.
I have installed 43 shelves in my 500 sq foot apt. I have the functionality of a 2 bedroom but the price of a 1 bedroom.

Good post. But I think vertical space can be used with a variety of organizing tools, not just shelves. Like hooks or wall pockets for instance. I do love shelves though, my living room would be a mess without them!
Great tips. I have a bunch of the free standing shelves in my kitchen cupboards, because there aren't any built-in shelves. They really help with organizing and making things more accessible without digging through everything.
