Name: Patricia Jean
Location: Montréal, Quebec
I am the first owner of this 600 square foot condo which was built in 2010 in a cute Montréal, Quebec neighborhood. For me, this condo represents freedom and adulthood. I knew this was my chance to create the ultimate bachelorette pad I had always dreamed of decorating without having to make any compromise.

So that’s what I did! When I first moved in, like most new constructions, the condo looked pretty standard without any special features and the usual finishes, except for the many floor to ceiling windows that give some character.

I’ve been trying to give the place a soul and to make it mine. I’m pretty happy with what I have achieved since I feel that my place definitely represents me : it’s girly, but not in an overwhelming way, it’s bright, it’s classy, it’s romantic, it’s inviting and cozy… It has become my home.

My place is a mix of old and new, of inexpensive stuff and of a bit more expensive items. Some of the old furniture was passed down to me from my mother, some I have found in antique fairs, some on the web. I have worked hard at transforming them, sanding and painting, and that’s what makes it special.

Although the architecture is pretty modern, I’ve added crown moulding and ceiling medallions to give it a classic, elegant look which fits with some of the French inspired furniture in the condo. In addition to mixing old and new furniture, I also mixed different materials throughout my home: wood, acrylic, crystal, metal… In the end, I feel like everything blends together well with the help of a neutral color palette and a uniform design style.
Thanks, Patricia Jean!

Oh my goodness, it's lovely.
Beautiful
When I saw the first photo a gasped! So lovely! The other photos are even better!
I especially like the absence of kitchen counter seating & the presence of a normal dining table w/chairs
So pretty! Well done.
Lovely!
Absolutely gorgeous! You have done a fantastic job in creating a "soul" in your condo. I'm sure that as time goes on, there will be more pieces in your space which will continue to define who you are. Love it!
Love it!!! I love the wall color in the bedroom. What is it?
My condo is about the same size as this one; this makes me want to ditch my bar stools and get a table! So lovely!
I love this; you did a beautiful job!
Really lovely! Where is that couch from?
Just stunning! Gives me such inspiration.
Gorgeous!
Where are the duvet cover and shams from?
I love it! What a gorgeous home.
Everyone else has already said "lovely" and I think it's the perfect description! It must be fun to have 100% control over the design!
What an uplifting home! Good job!!
I'm envious!
So gorgeous! When I was a bachelorette in NYC, I lived with fruit crates and street furniture (which, in NYC, can actually be quite nice).
Congratulations on a beautiful home in a beautiful city!
Very nice. Great job.

.....and you did a grrrrreat job =)
Love what you did with what was probably a bit of a cookie cutter condo.
Your apt is too cute! Looks so calming...just happy! Great job!
You have created a "lovely" elegant feel in your space. The light fixtures provide a touch of elegance. I would only suggest that you buy a cream fabric headboard for the bed.
