It will be such a relief to move office work out of the kitchen and into its own space. Here are the secretary desk contenders so far:
1. Campton Smart Technology Office Armoire from Pottery Barn
2. Tall Blond Secretary by Thomas Wold
3. Hallings Secretary by Thomas O'Brien from Hickory Chair
4. Eastman Secretary from Ballard Designs
5. Hemnes secretary from Ikea
Do you have a secretary desk? Do you have any recommendations for a small, narrow space?

White Enamel Four-P...
I love love love my secretary desk http://annabelvita.com/2012/04/05/i-love-my-secretary/ (it does have a cabinet on top like these pics but it was still in my in-laws' garage when I blogged about it last).
Ergonomically, none of these work.
I've been coveting that Ballard secretary for months. I don't need one, wouldn't know where to put it, but I just WANT it. I think it's the contrasting color inside that is so appealing. I think there's a pottery barn one that has a robin's egg blue inside, and I like that too. Of course I guess that effect could be achieved with almost any of them with a little DIY.
Been drooling over the Pottery Barn Graham Secretary and Hutch for years, but it's just too big for my space and too expensive. I'm thinking of hacking the Ikea Hemnes one by routing out the panels in the hutch doors and putting glass in and trimming out the top with crown moulding.
The height and simplicity of the Hallings Secretary by Thomas O'Brien is what I am looking and I need to find it under 1K. Any ideas with another design or DIY?
