After last week's pre-screening of Summer, I'm feeling a bit restless indoors. To combat this early Spring antsiness, I'm hatching plans for my future outdoor kitchen. Since I don't have the space, budget, or desire for a permanent installation, I'm gathering inspiration of the more modest variety.
These simple outdoor kitchens include everything you need to whip up an easy dinner for two or a fabulous feast for friends. If you prefer a more rustic set-up, check out these instructions for a diy brick oven.

I absolutely love the Maalaisunelma pic - simple structure on a pallet. Awesome!
I've got a few outdoor events coming up this year (brother's graduation, sister's wedding...), and I'll have to think about erecting one of these in the yard!
I'm so envious of year-round warm climates because they can have outdoor laundry rooms, kitchens, and baths. Its such a simple luxury.
love the first two... reg'lar barbecuing is always such a BIG DEAL and a PERFORMANCE... these are just about cooking and living outdoors... breakfast lunch and dinner PLEASE... they are poems.
LOVE that first structure!
Could you do a piece on outdoor showers next? We're considering it to save water/send it to our trees.
I would LOVE to have a kitchen outdoors. I would always fry and roast there, as I don't like the smell of it hanging around in the livingroom or bedroom.
I really like the first outdoor kitchen and would recreate it in a heartbeat if I had a yard! However, keeping all those knives outdoors in the second photo kind of freaks me out...
