How exactly do they get away with charging so much for these things?
There is almost no difference between the 300 dollars on and the 50 dollar one from Ikea.
Forget IKEA... for around $50, my favorite stool is still the Lyon industrial stool... they look and work great.. I have three and I love them...
Here in San Francisco, I got mine from Center Hardware. Ordering awesome furniture from a hardware store only adds to the fun.
I have 2 of the Sebastian barstools from Ikea and I love them!! A great buy!
I don't like any of those 4, and they look WAY too uncomfortable for the money. My barstools were $80 each, minus a 20% off Bed Bath & Beyond coupon for each...AND...I can actually sit in them!
I thought I've seen the Ikea stool in like a birch color. However I don't see it on their online catalog. Am I mistakening that for another stool?
Anybody have pointers for COMFORTABLE counter stools? (a bit lower than bar stool height, taller than normal chairs.) I love the looks of lots of contemporary and mid-century styles, but the ones I sat on were pure hell.
We got the Real Good barstools from Blu Dot and they were some of the most uncomfortable things I've ever sat in. On the plus side, they accepted the return with no hassle. Also, they've since started offering pads for them, which would probably help.
