This Is Ground have added a few new additions to their tasty menu of handcrafted leather cord and cable organizing solutions. The cord tacos are now joined by the nacho chip-shaped Nachote and the rolled-up burrito doppelgänger, the Cordito. No word yet on a large chimichanga carry-all.
Does the sight above look familiar? With the array of mobile devices found in the average household, it's increasingly common to keep many or all of these portable devices within arm's reach. This also usually entails keeping a charging cable...or three...around for all those smartphones, tablets, and gaming devices, which could create a mess like shown above...
As hard as I try, I always end up with at least a few folders full of receipts, forms, and miscellaneous items throughout the year, inevitably cluttering my filing cabinet and desk drawer. Since the tax deadline has come and gone, it's an opportune time to empty out the drawers full of "I'll get to that later" papers and decide what to shred, what to scan and store on a flash drive, and which items to retain on file.
Our home is our first classroom, but in Bea's case, her home really is her classroom. Her mother, Nichole, homeschools her and runs a small, part-time home-based preschool. It's usually easier to wrap them around something, and one of the nicest "somethings" I've found are these all wood earbud holders that keep cords tidy like thread on a spool.
Project by: Robert Gil, Casa Kids Location: Manhattan
Last year I wrote about two common approaches to shared kids' bedrooms: creating one cohesive space for both kids or creating divided, private spaces within a room. Roberto Gil, founder of Casa Kids, gave the best of both worlds to his clients, sisters in downtown Manhttan, with this creatively designed room.
IKEA's Expedit is the world's most popular storage solution for home offices. But if you don't keep it tidy, looking at cluttered compartments will do nothing for your motivation and home office decor. Part gallery wall and part storage, here's a DIY project which elevates the shelving unit from dime-a-dozen warehouse furniture into a mini-museum.
Now that we've been staying put all winter, we need to get out and go places. It's time for a road trip! Looking at strategies to keep my kids from going completely crazy in the car, I stumbled upon this very clever DIY organizer that hangs on the back of the passenger seat.
