How To Remove Paint From Textured Glass
While renovating our bathroom, we got an annoying amount of paint on the window. The glass is textured so even though we had prepped the window with painters tape it still leaked [we were also a bit clumsy in other places]. The textured glass meant a razor blade wasn’t very effective so we got creative!
What You Need
Materials:
Razor Blade
Nail Polish Remover
Microfiber Cloth
Cotton Tips
Glass Cleaner
Instructions
1. Scrape as much paint off the glass as you can with the razor blade.
2. Wet your microfiber cloth with the nail polish remover. Hold the cloth on the paint for a few seconds, then rub the paint until it wipes off.
3. Continue until all the paint is removed. In the corners or close to the timber use a cotton tip for a more accurate finish.
4. Once all the paint is removed, clean windows with glass cleaner.
Additional Notes: Ta-da! Sparkly, paint free windows in almost no time at all. It took us about 40 minutes to complete the whole 1.4m x 1m window following the above steps. If you have sensitive skin it might be wise to wear rubber gloves.
