The latest renderings of San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art expansion show firm Snøhetta adding a 10-story concrete tower behind the original museum. The addition will add about 130,000 square feet in new exhibition space. By adding terraces, indoor/outdoor galleries, and admissions-free zones, the museum will be open to the street and allow for more art-filled public space. The expansion is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
