Daniel and Michelle Lehmann
New York City
As new parents, the couple purchased the best, highest design products and gear for their kids, but as their little ones outgrew it all, they didn’t know how or where to sell their stuff. They consulted with numerous friends and fellow parents, who all had the same problem but no solution. Thus the idea for reCrib was born. They created the online marketplace for families who were looking to buy and/or sell their coveted cribs, beds, changing tables, dressers, strollers, high chairs, car seats, bouncy seats, and more.
ReCrib.com is an online marketplace where parents can buy and sell gently used, high-end baby cribs, strollers, furniture, and other gear. If you're looking for luxury design at a significant markdown, or if you already own a high quality piece that your kiddo has outgrown, this is the place for you. What a forehead-slappingly good idea!
Parents Daniel and Michelle Lehmann were clearing out gear their kids had outgrown when they discovered the lack of a go-to website for buying and selling high quality, chic baby gear. They launched reCrib to fill the void and give parents a way to "recycle their stuff, reclaim their space and recoup their costs". Listings include descriptions, year purchased, retail price paid, and percent saved. We love the map feature
that allows buyers to search for listings by zip code. The actual transaction then takes place between the buyer and seller. It's like a boiled-down, smart combination of Craigslist and eBay but with really pretty pictures!
