As soon as I saw the photo of the completed project, I thought, "Hmm, this reminds me of a ceramic Shane Powers planter I saw awhile back at West Elm." I'm not sure if that was the inspiration behind this DIY, but regardless, it's super-crafty upcycling on the cheap. $4.32 to be exact.

We're supposed to be in the thick of winter here on the East Coast, granted with temperatures in the 60's this week, it feels more like we're heading into spring. My garden seems to think so as well — I have daffodils and tulips peeking their heads out and one of my lilies looks like it just might bloom! The warm weather had me outside thinking about my garden, pondering my plans for this coming year, and a rain garden is definitely in order.

I admit, I have a pile of scrap wood stowed away here and there around my house. You can also throw a shabby old door into the mix as well. And while it's not always convenient to store cumbersome wood if you're hard-pressed for space, it sure can come in handy if you're cut from the DIY mold. This is exactly what happened when Kristi from Addicted 2 Decorating discovered a pile of old cedar fence boards.

There's nothing like spending a few weeks in a tropical paradise, especially when you're there ringing in the new year, to give you the time and space necessary to reflect on your life. The fresh air, the solitude, the change in scenery, change in routine, or even meeting new people — it all triggers the urge for me to reshape my current lifestyle and habits once I return home.

For the avid cyclist, biking is more than just a means of transportation, it's a way of life. And with the two-wheeled trend on the rise, there's a slew of options available to make your ride smoother or even more stylishly cool. With the help of my cycling-nut boyfriend — along with some of my own favorite products and gear — I've compiled a list for the biker in your life, from practical and indispensable to just plain fun.

Winter might be a seasonal break for many gardeners, but that doesn't mean I don't want to see gardening gifts under the tree. In my case it's quite the opposite — they're usually top priority on my wish list — and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. If there's a green thumb aficionado in your life, forget about the bleak winter that lies ahead and gift them with something that will remind them that crocuses and daffodils are only a few months away.

Imogene + Willie is proof that Nashville has more to offer than honky tonk and barbecue. This brick and mortar shop is the dream of husband and wife duo, Carrie and Matt Eddmenson. Part retail space, part workshop — a place to make and sell what they do best — designing custom jeans. But while the denim and leather goods may play center stage, the swank interior provides the ideal backdrop.

I've never hosted a Thanksgiving dinner before. All the planning, cooking and cleaning seems like a lot of work for a few hours of dining pleasure. Now I realize this will sound silly to some, but the one thing that really makes me want to reconsider? Being able to design a fancy tablescape. With Thanksgiving just a week away, here are 15 unique table settings to inspire those who are hosting at their home.

With the Four Seasons Baltimore set to open next week, I have never wanted to be a tourist in my own town as much as I do now! It's luxury living at its best; a five-star, resort-like getaway nestled in the heart of bustling Harbor East.
