When a designer has a bunch of collections at widely divergent price points and multiple stores, they can be hard to keep a finger on. Especially when it's Thomas O'Brien — with collections for stores as random as Target, Safavieh, and Waterworks, he can seem scattered at times. But his newly launched website aims to remedy that by bringing everything he's done into one redesigned site.
AeroStudios.com is the first phase in a planned online expansion that includes a soon-to-be-launched web boutique. The site archives past collections for Hickory Chair, Target, Groundworks/Lee Jofa, Safavieh, Waterworks, and Reed&Barton. A helpful product index lets shoppers know which items are no longer available and which can be purchased through stores.
Aero's marketing materials explain, "It is the first time that all of this information will be collected in one place, and updated constantly, as a live, visual reference for our customers."
There's also a Thomas O'Brien blog and, although it's updated infrequently, it offers a readable glimpse into the designer's thought process and his particular brand of modern, masculine style.
What do you think? Does the new layout hold together or is it still too scattered?SHOWN ABOVE
