Aria first opened on Upper Street, Islington in 1989, growing to encompass three retail outlets. In 2007, these three retail spaces were consolidated under one roof in the converted Barnsbury Hall.

The kitchen department carries one of the largest selections of Alessi products in London as well as a vast collection of Ittala products.
