Online shop Gizmine describes itself as "the gadget and lifestyle design superstore" and although we think the word superstore is a little out of place since it's such a niche business, this is definitely a good resource for hard-to-find Japanese gadgets. The site has depth and breadth, and it's fun to jump around from retro camera-inspired iPhone cases to weird robotic toilet paper holders.

Their goal is to "bring you to the heart of Tokyo," and you get a sense of the crazy, cute, and random world that is Japanese gadget design just from clicking around the site. Founded by Doug Krone — who formerly worked with Japanese import store Dynamism — it's totally worth a look for anyone who loves tech culture and wants to see what's happening on the fringes.
