Inside this small shop on the corner of North Sixth and Wythe in Williamsburg is a blend of Chinese antiques, reupholstered vintage finds, and a wealth of unique home accessories that fill the space to the ceiling. We've spotted ceramics from Art Department, vegetable-dyed Haitian rugs, a vast display of colorful dipped candles and exquisitely lacquered tables...
The Thonet caned chair (above), was $175 (there were two) and the orange and grey Haitian rug was $225 (6'6" x 3'9").
The lacquered tables are our favorite of the varied selection. (Seen above and right stacked in the window and above and left in white.) Orders are placed through the store. Multiple sizes, shapes and colors are available. Prices are very reasonable and much less than the Jonathan Adler interpretations.
When we last visited, this handmade solid walnut desk was $675.
Golden Calf is one of our favorite home stores in Williamsburg. The prices are fair and the selection is always fun. Reupholstery and design services are also available.
