A sense of mystery greets visitors as they step through the doorway. Stacks of soft cotton blankets and piles of flowery throw pillows are neatly arranged on wooden tables and rattan sofas. Robes hang in an antique armoire, while bags are slung from pegs on the walls. Inspired by their travels around the world, Jerome Gigot and Yann Gicquel founded Les Touristes in 2003. Fabrics adorned with peacock feathers, water lilies, and the plum-hued petals of impatiens are printed in India and cut and sewn into scarves, pouchettes, and tablecloths. Contemporary dish ware inspired by antique patterns, Persian rugs, retro stationary, and accessories by local French designers round out the collection.
