Right now, I am lucky enough to be on a week long vacation in San Francisco. The weather is perfect, the people are great, food is everywhere, and I just fell for a lovely mid-centurty modern furniture store called Monument.
In an effort to beat the Saturday morning crowd to Ferry Building's Farmer's Market, my friends and I left in the early morning to start our day. Given that my fiance and I are familiar with Boston's east coast time, it wasn't that hard to wake up early! (I instantly became a morning person.) Shortly into our walk north on Valencia Street, we passed a furniture shop that caught all our eyes. The shop is called Monument, and unfortunately for us morning people, has normal store hours. So it was closed. We kept on trekking to our destination for food, but vowed on going back to the store later that day. We're glad we did!
Monument is filled with exquisitely curated home furniture and decor, which fits well into the mid-century modern style. Their prices are high, but fair. These pieces are works of art that, with a little care, can last a lifetime. The pictures above give small glimpses of what the store has to offer, from rare originals to perfectly restored classics.
