Founded in Portland, Oregon in 2009, Pigeon Toe Ceramics is the brainchild of fine artist and designer Lisa Jones. With a flair for modern, Scandinavian design and a knack for the craft, Lisa and her team lovingly mold each vessel, basin and bowl with delicate strength.

We love handmade pottery, and Portland-based Pigeon Toe Ceramics is a new favorite, if for no other reason (although there are a lot of other reasons!) than their guiding design principle: "Because your purchase should be an heirloom, not a hassle. Because memories should be created, not collected. Because stories should be handed down, not mass-produced."

This fits in quite well with our view on buying beautiful, high quality handcrafted items. Pigeon Toe ceramics, which include porcelain lighting, planters, bird feeders, and other tabletop pieces, is playful and charming (particularly their Askew collection), yet always polished and refined, "inspired by a new age of homegrown, depression-era aesthetics. Clean and tactile, white and pure."

Their storefront carries not only their own line, but also dishware, textiles, paper goods, and home accessories from other designers including Enormous Champion, Roost, Studiopatró, and Ferm Living, to name a few.

Their ceramics can be purchased at their Portland store, at these retailers, and in their online shop. All ceramics are made to order and will ship within 3 weeks.
