Cubbies &amp; Shelves for Kids' Rooms: 12 Smart Sources

I know five different parents who have tackled a big organization project in their child's room over the last month. I think it might be that the chaos and change of back-to-school season makes people wish for a sense of order. Q Collection: These stackable shelves are made in the USA from recycled wood with non-toxic, low-VOC finishes. The cut-out shapes make it easier for little hands to open the cabinet doors, but the units aren't cheap. The Stella Stackables start at $315 per unit.
Design Public: This online store (based out of San Francisco) has a variety of modern furniture for kids' rooms and nurseries (as well as grown-up spaces), and they offer free shipping on orders over $50. This is the Oeuf Classic Toy Store for $498.
Target: They have a bunch of storage systems for kids' rooms, but I like the Itso System, which was designed in collaboration with IDEO. The shelving is stackable, modular, and affordable — starting around $20 per cube.

Smart Furniture: This online store specializes in shelving, and they mix kids' products with adult storage solutions, like the Componibili Storage Module, $160. Made from ABS plastic with rounded edges, it's a practical, easy-to-clean choice for a child's room.
