Cristina Lanza & Davide Carbone
New York, NY
When Cristina Lanza, a cosmetics executive, and Davide Carbone, a graphics designer, met in their native Italy, their mutual love for their country's style and culture as well as for their soon-to-be-adopted city of New York led to a collaboration of mind, spirit and talent that is now known as Gessato.
Interestingly enough, the online design store GSelect started as retail venture for men's skincare Gessato. The offerings have expanded greatly, offering some of the oddest assortment of design gifts, decor and personal accessories including the bizarre Bloom My Buddy, Tiny Terrariums, Gaia & Gino pet products, and the colorful textiles of Scholten & Baijings.
GSelect is fun to browse and there is always something new and unique in the selection — I'm always surprised to find some of the bizarro designs that you never thought would make it to market are available.
Some of the product lines that GSelect carries are:
• Scholten & Baijings • Skram • Alice Supply Co. • Droog • Joey Roth • Matteo Cibic • Gaia & Gino • and many more including many small start up design companies.
Have you shopped at GSelect? What do you think of their product offerings?
