When Boston native Sabrina Bello went to work in Sweden in 2010, she immediately fell in love with Scandinavian design. Shortly thereafter Sabrina noticed that many of the designs she loved were not available in the US. Intent to make the best of Scandinavian design available to the US market, Sabrina launched Son & Dotter in September 2012.
After hearing how hospitals in Sweden were using a unique cloth to clean with water rather than traditional chemical cleaners, UK designer Steve Pearson was inspired to create a version of his own. In 1995 he partnered with engineer John Park and a group of Korean scientists to create a line of microfiber cleaning cloths called e–cloth.

As a fan of handcrafted and sustainable products, I clicked over to the Rough Linen website and was delighted to discover the story behind the genesis of this line.
