It's a couch, it's a daybed, it's a bed - it's suuuper headboard! Last month we looked at corner, wraparound headboards as stylish solutions for small kids rooms, but they also offer a lot of versatility in adult spaces as well (ideal for a small studio apartment). Here are a few examples of how they could work for you:

One of our house tour participants, Tommy Chambers, designed and built this custom headboard for his home and had it upholstered in a faux leather.
This (diy) wraparound headboard in a bold red gives this daybed definition against the brown walls and ceiling.
The coordinated fabrics of the headboard, bedskirt and curtains make a serene space here with a double-duty guest bed/day bed.
A luxe velvet daybed in a studio apartment functions as a sofa.
This custom upholstered corner headboard adds a luxurious feel to this guest bedroom.
All of the examples I found were diy or custom-built projects. A search for corner beds or headboards for purchase mostly turned up children's beds (like these) and one corner daybed. If you know of a source - leave it in the comments!
