Valentina and Alessandro are originally from Italy, but have lived in Princeton for several years.

    Name: Andy Isaacson Location: Brooklyn, New York Size: 700 square feet Years lived in: 2 years; Owned Walking into Andy’s open and bright apartment, you immediately feel transported to another world. Somewhere relaxing. And the more time you spend in Andy’s home, the richer the details. You’ll find an old chair from Yankee Stadium, stamps from Soviet Russia, public health posters from Laos. His unique collections fit harmoniously in a modern, comfortable space.

    Dave’s Colorful Craftsman in Seattle
    Name: Dave Winkler Location: Capitol Hill — Seattle, Washington Size: 2,400 square feet Years lived in: 2.5 years; Owned The first time I visited Dave’s home was for a summertime party that he and his housemates hosted. The house was filled with people laughing, enjoying cocktails and relaxing. It’s easy to relax in such a comfortable space that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

    Maureen & Seth’s Sunlit Seattle Home (& Tropical Plant-Filled Atrium)
    Name: Seth and Maureen Conant and their cats, Frank and Lucy Location: Seattle, Washington Size: 2,000 square feet Years lived in: 6 years; Owned Walking into Maureen and Seth’s house transports you to the 1950s. In fact, just walking along their street gives you that feeling! They live in a little enclave of mid-century homes in northwest Seattle, most of which were built by the same architect, Thomas Dunstan, in the late 1950s.

    Christina and Thejas Cozy Chic Style in Brooklyn
    Name: Christina and Thejas; Cats: Oliver and Teddie Location: DUMBO; Brooklyn, New York Size: 1,080 square feet Years lived in: 7 months; Rented When Christina and Thejas were looking for a new apartment last summer, they searched for a place that had luxury amenities, but still had character and charm. What they found was a modern apartment in an old factory building in DUMBO. And with Christina’s flair for accessorizing and adding color, they brought the space to life.

    Kory & Lindsey’s Simple Haven
    Name: Kory DeClark and Lindsey Cordova Location: New Haven, Connecticut Size: 900 square feet Years lived in: 2 years; Rented When Kory and Lindsey moved to New Haven from Los Angeles, they had a tight budget and only a few items with which to furnish their new apartment. Even with those constraints, they were able to create a refreshing, inviting space. Their home is simple and spartan, but there is always an abundance of good company and delicious food.

When you walk into her apartment, you are immediately transported from the iconic Greenwich Village neighborhood to somewhere calm and relaxing. She has fit her colorful, laid-back style into a classic New York apartment beautifully.

    Kirsten and Ted’s Green Dream
    Name: Kirsten Thoft and Ted Nadeau Location: Princeton, NJ Size: 3200 square feet (including lower level apartment / family room) Years lived in: 2 years; owned So many words are needed to describe Kirsten and Ted’s multi-faceted home: beautiful, sustainable, functional, light, airy, warm, homey, and even industrial! Kirsten, an architect, purchased the site and originally planned to build a spec home.

    Taylor & Alana’s Carefully Crafted Hoboken Apartment
    Name: Alana Biagioli & Taylor Gulbins Location: Hoboken, New Jersey Size: 900 square feet Years lived in: 6 months; Rented You may recall Taylor’s house call post a couple months ago, and the apartment in Hoboken that lured him and his girlfriend, Alana, out of Manhattan. The square footage and daylight in their home definitely seems worth the move. They have created a fresh and modern space that has plenty of character and craft. Decorating this apartment was clearly a labor of love.
