Have any design professionals worked on this space? NuAbode
Do you currently live in your Small/Cool space full-time? Yes
Describe your space:
We wanted a space where we could comfortably live and work all while traveling the U.S. full-time. I designed every inch of the space with that in mind. It’s open, yet cozy and has all of the necessities for full-time road living. My favorite part of the space is the fact that it has a whopping 17 windows. There’s always a sunny spot to lounge in!
Did you DIY anything in your space? And, if so, what's your favorite DIY?
The entire space was one big DIY project! The heavy lifting was done by NuAbode, and the small stuff my husband and I handled ourself.
How do you make your small space work for you and feel bigger than it really is?
I really wanted to incorporate lots of open shelving. The kitchen and bedroom have mini shelves, and most things are secured with magnets or Gorilla Tape so they don’t have to come down when we pack up and move!
How does your home reflect you?
My grandpa was a woodworker and passed away when I was 11. I thought of him often when we built this Airstream. I know he would have loved to have been a part of it. And he would have been proud that his granddaughter grew up to be pretty handy with a saw herself. So to honor his memory I have a small black and white photo of him on the kitchen shelf. I know he’s there with us in spirit!
