Why is your home the smallest, coolest space?
Coziness is a big factor for me when designing a home. I like soft textures and warm colors, and I want our friends to feel at home when we're hosting. This is the first female-only space that we have both lived in, and I feel like we have leaned into the feminine in a way that we haven't necessarily felt free to in the past.
How does your home reflect you?
We love incorporating handmade items made by our friends. A lot of the artwork and pottery found in our apartment was made by friends. We want our home to be a celebration of warmth and creativity. Most of our furniture, aside from the couch and dining table, is used, and most of our furniture has history. The brown chair in the living room was Kate's grandmother's and holds a lot of memories.
