Have any design professionals worked on this space? No
Why is your home the smallest, coolest space?
We joke that my style is “raccoon chic” because of how much I love trash. Almost nothing in our space is new. I like things that are dinged up and a little off. The vision is 80% “fuck it” and 20% “obsess deeply over where the rotary phone goes.” It’s thoughtfully random. I love searching for that interesting tension between chaos and coziness.
How does your home reflect you?
I live in a one-bedroom apartment with my gigantic fiance and my gigantic dog. And all three of us work from home. So we’ve had to balance functionality with my love of the impractical. But some things just can’t go. Namely, my 1930s chastity belt patent and the marquee sign that once said, “Have a nice poop,” but now conveniently reads, “Have an ice pop.”
