Why is your home the smallest, coolest space?
When I first moved in, I wanted to live in the space for a little bit to understand what I needed from each room first, and then style it from there. I wanted to play up the beautiful historic features, like the mantel in the bedroom, the parquet floors, the tall windows. For me it’s the coolest because I have maximized storage space by making sure all decorative boxes hide something useful.
How does your home reflect you?
My home is filled with memories from past trips, old family decor, and trinkets from meaningful times in my life. I try to collect souvenirs I want to display so I’m reminded of wonderful memories. I usually print black and white photos from family trips to make the framed art cohesive. I also try to avoid buying trendy decor or items to help develop my own sense of style, and I love buying [secondhand].
