Here Are Oprah’s Favorite Things for 2019, and They Start at Just $12

There’s a lot we love about Oprah: her book picks, her harvest day Instagrams, her commitment to education. This time of year, though, is dominated by the media mogul’s annual gift list, AKA Oprah’s Favorite Things.

This year, as in year’s past, there’s a curated OFT shop on Amazon, where you can fave, wish list, or add to cart to your heart’s content. There are a lot of great home items included, so we rounded up a few of our favorites…of Oprah’s favorites.

It seems like everyone has a favorite reusable straw, and Oprah picked this glass set of five. “These see-through glass straws are easy to clean (thanks to a very slender brush), color-coded (so your guests won’t accidentally swap sips), and long lasting (so you won’t contribute to bursting landfills),” she says.

“Move over adult coloring books—the new calm-inducing craze is paint-by-numbers. Each of these botanic-inspired kits includes four brushes, acrylic paints, and a canvas upon which to mindfully daub hydrangeas, zinnias, and more,” Oprah says. We’re particularly into this succulent version.

Oprah’s a jetsetter, so we take her travel recommendations very seriously. “Frequent fliers will love these snazzy soft-sided, lightweight carryalls. The wheeled pieces have quick-access outer pockets, making it a cinch to grab your boarding pass, and the duffels—which attach to the luggage—have a shoe compartment, so your hiking boots won’t track mud on your clean blouses,” she says.

Everything isn’t false advertising: “It’s a scarf! It’s a shawl! It’s a soft, snuggly travel blanket that lets you avoid those flimsy ones on airplanes!” Oprah’s excited, and so are we.

If there’s a more beautiful way to store matches, we haven’t seen it. “Your fireplace doesn’t have to be located in a mahogany-paneled library to deserve a nearly foot-tall glass match cloche (complete with a striking strip on the side) in handsome colors like moss and smoke,” Oprah says.

Everyone’s on the electric pressure cooker train, and Oprah’s no exception. “This versatile pressure cooker can braise beef, steam zucchini, and make rice and even cakes in less time than it takes to coax your kids downstairs for supper,” she says.

I love a fancy candle, especially one with a fresh scent. Oprah agrees: “If you can’t visit an ash or cedar forest or a lush patch of basil, bring those intoxicating scents inside in the form of posh hand-poured candles. Warning: May cause guests to linger deep into the night.”

This monochrome mug comes in a variety of colors and sizes. Oprah says, “A little birdie named Adam Glassman told me some New York City coffee shops suggest that customers bring their own reusable mug. That was news to me; what isn’t news is the colossal amount of plastic littering our planet. So I approve of this dishwasher-safe cup as a woke way to wake up.”

There’s no shortage of reusable bottles out there, but this one definitely stands out. Plus, it’s for a good cause: “I was struck by activist Tererai Trent’s passion both times she came on my show. What does that have to do with these rainbow bottles? Proceeds support her efforts to give children in her native Zimbabwe access to quality education,” Oprah says.

“You know when you wear your favorite sweater so often that it gets covered in pills?
