How to Make a Cloud Nursery Mobile
I’ve had this idea for a cloud mobile tutorial for months now, but there was always something more pressing to do (I should clarify that, in most cases, neither the mobile nor the more pressing matter was accomplished). This was actually a very easy little project, I’m surprised to say. You never know, when you delve into something new, whether it will go as planned or end up in the unfinished pile in the corner of the closet (along with the partially knitted baby blanket).

Craft Book Review: Making of a Rag Doll by Jess Brown
Two months ago, I went on a plastic toy throwing rampage after receiving the news that my one-year-old daughter tested high on her lead screen (a false positive, thankfully). As a consequence, I was determined to rectify our questionable toy situation by introducing only handmade natural toys. But where to begin? When I came across an Instagram post by Jess Brown about her new book, “The Making of a Rag Doll,” I was inspired to give it a try.

How To Make an Ombre Heart Painting
Here’s a quick and fun art project that takes less than an hour to complete and came in at under $10! I was looking for a way to add some more color to my daughter’s room, without resorting to buying yet another thing, when this little heart canvas came about. These little pre-stretched canvases are so convenient, and the stretcher bars make for easy hanging. I’ve accrued quite a collection of 2 oz acrylic paints.

Stylish Convertibles: Cribs to Toddler Beds
Almost 5 years ago, when I began planning my son Alex’s nursery, I didn’t have a great vision of what I wanted his room to be beyond the crib stage. We looked into converting the crib to a toddler bed but it had such an awkward appearance, with very tall head/ footboard, such that it resembled the letter H. It also required the purchase of a conversion kit, so we opted for a full size bed and bypassed the toddler bed altogether.
