The $20 Standing Desk Cord Organizer Amazon Reviewers Can’t Stop Raving About
If there’s one important discovery I’ve made since working from home full-time, it’s that a standing desk is, indeed, a game-changer. It took me about a month to get used to being on my feet all the time, but now I feel more energized, more focused, and my back pain is all but gone. I can’t even imagine sitting down to work for long periods of time ever again. I’m a true believer.
But there was one thing that drove me absolutely positively nuts: All the cords. Of course, cords are not a problem unique to standing desks, but the combination of all the chargers for my laptop and other electronics, plus the fact that the standing desk has to be plugged in, was just one cord too many. I would walk into my office every morning and the chaotic bundles of cords would be the first thing I’d notice.
I started researching all the options for hiding standing desk cords. There were zip ties. Double-sided tape. Cable management boxes. Pinterest hacks and DIY ideas. And then I found this Channel Cable Raceway.
With more than 3,600 reviews and an average rating of 4.6 stars, this product has more positive reviews than any other cord solution or organizer on Amazon.
As one reviewer wrote, “Cable management is such a pain, but these raceways make it easy. I stuck a few of these bad boys on the underside of my desk and suddenly my issues disappeared.”
Another happy customer said, “Not even kidding, this product is preserving my sanity amidst the crazy wire nests under my desk. It’s sleek, minimalist, simple to use, and very affordable.”
But it was the before and after photos in the Amazon reviews that really spoke to me. The before images look eerily similar to my own standing desk — a chaotic mess of cords sticking in all different directions from the underside of the desktop. The afters? Perfectly organized, streamlined desk with few (if any) cords in sight.
