Describe your space:

Working at a creative and digital agency, I wanted my small space to be bright, airy, and an escape from day-to-day life. I wanted the space to feel like an island oasis, so was inspired by rattan, palm leaves, beachy prints, vintage maps, and woven baskets. A lot of my existing pieces were mixed woods and have a bit of a cottage feel, so it fit right into the amazing architecture and my vision for the apartment. Since it is one large room, I tried to divide the space by using rugs, the foot board of the bed, and a rolling kitchen island. The tiny bathroom feels like a boutique hotel.

Did you DIY anything in your space? And, if so, what's your favorite DIY?

My bathroom didn't have much storage, so I added some floating shelves to hold all of my products.

What's your favorite product that you bought for your space and where did it come from?

I have a few favorite pieces. One is my custom Sloan sofa from Interior Define, and another is my bar cabinet, which is surprisingly from Target. I also love my vintage Rhode Island map, which I found at Brooklyn Flea, and the white and wicker woven basket from a small shop on Cape Cod.

What inspires you?

I'm 100 percent inspired by the ocean and fresh air. I tried to bring this into the space as much as possible.
