Describe your space:

This is my first real estate and I was super excited when I started renovations. Since I work from home full-time, it was important to me that the place is fun, happy, colorful, and reflects my style. I am spending a lot of time here and I enjoy it every day. I love my Pablo Lobato gallery wall, I love the bed divider and how it separates my sleeping area from the rest of the apartment. I adore my colorful kitchen and the pink Smeg fridge, and I enjoy cooking in it. It looks and feels much bigger than it is because it has divided areas and I often feel like I have more rooms than I do.

Did you DIY anything in your space? And, if so, what's your favorite DIY?

The place is full of DIY projects. My absolute favorite is the industrial black room divider, but I also made one chair in the dining set of mismatched chairs, I upcycled the IKEA Rast drawer and added mid-century legs, spray-painted the lighting above the bed in copper paint, painted some of the furniture and all of the doors. I also painted the mural in the kitchen.

How do you make your small space work for you and feel bigger than it really is?

Since the place is small, I was very careful when choosing furniture. It was important that it looked good, but to have hidden storage. The bed has a space under that I use for storage for off-season clothes, and the drawers inside the sofa bed I use for my high heels. I have four different sideboards that look stylish but also have space for storage. In the kitchen, I have a hidden pantry behind the doors.

How does your home reflect you?

I have a painting that was painted by my father who is a painter. Most of the plants are a gift from my mom, who is a big plant lover. The old mid-century chair in the living area is taken from my family's old house. The bookshelf is full of books from my family's library.
