Describe your space:
I love my small studio because it has a lot of natural light come in, also! It also has a great layout; the kitchen, closet, and bathroom are set apart from the main living space, making it feel bigger. In the main living space, I was able to carve out small spaces for a sleeping area, a home office, a dining space, a seating space, and also a TV space. Shelves and bookcases help a lot for extra storage.
Did you DIY anything in your space? And, if so, what's your favorite DIY?
I DIY a few projects here. In the small kitchen, I painted the backsplash (which used to be a blue color), I also installed peel-and-stick tiles to cover the old, dirty floor tiles. In the bathroom, I painted both the medicine cabinet and storage cabinet above the toilet.
How do you make your small space work for you and feel bigger than it really is?
Yes, I was able to install an IKEA closet system (thanks to my landlord!), which has been very helpful for all sorts of storage! In addition to this, I have wall shelves and a bookcase to store smaller items and decor.
How does your home reflect you?
The space reflects me really well on how organized it is. I also have a lot of art up on the walls; most of these are pictures I've taken during trips or items I've purchased in other countries. One of my favorite pieces of art is a hand-drafted view of this studio, which was done by a good friend of mine! I'm able to fit everything I need + more in this small footprint. I also run my business from home, and having a well-set-up space and layout really helps!
