Have any design professionals worked on this space? No

Do you currently live in your Small/Cool space full-time? Yes

Describe your space:

It is hardly possible to buy anything in Paris these days, and especially not a house. But the close suburb offers interesting nooks with outside spaces. The idea was to recreate a small hidden place on the roof.

Did you DIY anything in your space? And, if so, what's your favorite DIY?

Almost everything was redone, mainly with DIY and things found in the street, or on the French equivalent of Craigslist. The inside glass window was the major addition to the space, since it created the bedroom nook. But my favorite DIY would probably be the living room painted floor: I couldn't get the whole original wooden floor, and had no money to buy enough oak. The idea of painting it came out while discovering its bad shape.

How do you make your small space work for you and feel bigger than it really is?

The bed is installed on the big frame that allows storage under it, and thanks to two drawers under the bookcase. But the overall impression of space comes from the general shape of the studio: one long rectangle with multiple windows.

How does your home reflect you?

Anything from thrift shops or found in the street, some marvelous things are thrown away, for instance an old window, or even plants.
