Why is your home the smallest, coolest space?
Our vision can be described as "avoid hotel lobby matchy-poo!" We mix and match treasures and vintages, then bring them together with color. The art and objects are all personal and not expensive. The best things are a) the view: the design is oriented to maximize the amazing natural light in the day and the shimmering lights of SF by night, and b) every object and nook serves multiple purposes.
How does your home reflect you?
We have simply collected the things we are drawn to. We are both creatives, and much of the art is ours, that of our friends, hand-me-downs from family, thrift store finds, or collected on our travels. Most of the furniture is gently used, an environmental choice. One art piece is by Sister Corita Kent, purchased by Shannon's newly-married parents in 1968 for $5 in LA. Nothing is expensive.
