Why is your home the smallest, coolest space?
I was drawn to the high Victorian ceilings and large sash windows, which flood the flat with light, when I bought it in 2021. Especially because London winters are long and dark, natural light is important to me and is also what I love about the space. My vision was to create a cozy space in which to entertain by mixing the property’s character-filled period features with antiques and modern finishes.
How does your home reflect you?
I wanted to be an artist, and although my mum funded my art classes, she believed that I ought to pursue a “sensible” career. My home is a reflection and appreciation of art: My day job is deeply analytical, and so my use of color and art throughout the flat is an important contrast to my structured and technical work. I also built the alcove cabinets, which is my biggest foray into DIY to date!
