The furniture brand EQ3 recently opened a second beautiful showroom in Chicago, and Apartment Therapy was there to celebrate the grand opening. With partners like Vitra and Marimekko and a focus on process as much as the finished product, this Canadian retailer knows quality design. For those who weren’t with us to fête the brand’s latest stateside opening, we missed you! But here, we have a few of our editors’ favorite products to share with you.
We love that many of EQ3’s pieces are customizable not only by color and finish, but also come in a variety of sizes and shapes within the same design language. This means you can create your perfect dining space without compromising on style. For example, the Lyla chair, inspired by a classic Windsor chair, comes in three different styles that give you options of counter stool, armchair, or side chair—plus, there are up to seven different finishes to choose from. Meanwhile, the Place and Mesa dining tables, designed by British Columbia-based Shawn Place and German design duo MYKILOS PROJECTS, respectively, comes in round and rectangular options. They also have some great stand-alone items like this unique, wooden-framed bar cart and their Portuguese-designed stoneware.
