Where do I even begin!? I once dreamed of living in a small flat, next to a hill with a giant tree outside front and the sidewalk, city streets below me. My home is the perfect example of putting that energy out into the universe and creating it.

Gramercy Gardens is the name of my building that was constructed in the 1920’s. Its a four floor walk up, with accordion elevator doors and a New York style fire escape out front, with a brick edifice. The apartments house about 44 unique bungalow style apartments – studios with high ceilings, separate dining, kitchen and bathroom spaces. I was lucky enough to have gotten in about 6 years ago, and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.

My flat sits on the 3rd floor, with giant French windows and the view of a large tree. Neighbors and friend joke that I live in a tree house, which I kind of love! It’s roughly some 530sq feet of comfortable and affordable living the heart of Hollywood. I am so lucky to live in a place close to the Redline metro that can get me to work, The Hollywood Bowl, Downtown, Koreatown, Historic Union Station or Griffith Park Observatory which watches over me. Not only am I lucky to live in such a stylish place, I have a unique friend/neighbor circle of actors, musicians, cartoonists, philanthropists and even a my best friend who lives just across from me who’s a luthier! Building classical guitars right out of his studio!

I love having friends over to entertain; where it’s enjoying the view of my the tree from my modern couch, to floating on my Lucite dining room chairs…my style and collection of objects range from mid-century modern, to futuristic, cultural artifacts that I have collected in my travels from Vegas, to New York to my time spent living in Montreal.

I love black, silver and browns with pops of gold; steel and glass with the warmth of fur throws, rich paintings and geometric objects; my apartment is like living art to me! And I love anyone who comes through my door to experience it with me. It’s stylish, yet affordable as I believe in a posh design sense on a budget!

Thanks, Eric!
