First up is the Villa Orsula in the Croatian city of Dubrovnik. Originally opened in 1939, the property is tucked in between the Old Town and the Adriatic Sea, overlooking the island of Lokrum. It’s the perfect fusion of breathtaking architecture and modern luxury, with amenities like a garden filled with orange trees and lavender and a library, where you can grab a book to read as you luxuriate on the sunny private beach.

Also in Dubrovnik is the Hotel Excelsior, an oceanfront escape right on Banje Beach. Housed in a former 1913 villa, the property has been fully revamped to become one of the grandest properties on the Adriatic. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from famed locations like the Sponza Palace and Rector’s Palace, as well as the breathtaking Dubrovnik Cathedral.

In the Northern Ireland capital of Belfast, “Game of Thrones” has made its mark. During filming, many of the cast members stayed at the Titanic Hotel, formerly the Harland & Wolff Headquarters building. That’s where some of the most iconic ships in the world were designed, ranging from White Star liners like the Olympic, Titanic, and Britanic, as well as the HMS Belfast, a naval warship. If you’re obsessed with GoT, visit the nearby the Titanic Studios, where part of all eight seasons of the show have been shot on a massive 106,000-square-foot set. It has six shooting stages that housed the interiors of Winterfell, Castle Black, High Hall of the Eyrie, the Sky Cells in the Eyrie, the Hall of Faces, the House of Black and White, the Great Sept of Baelor, the Great Pyramid of Meereen Throne Room, and the iconic King’s Landing Throne Room.

The final property is the Europa Hotel, also in Belfast. With a prime location in the middle of the city, the famed hotel has hosted everyone from beloved celebrities to controversial political figures throughout the years, experiencing a particularly challenging period during the Troubles. Now a thriving, luxury property, it’s just a short distance from the city’s top visitor attractions, like the Grand Opera House and City Hall.
