Goop Just Launched Its First Wallpaper Collab and We’re In Love
Wallpaper has been in and out of style over the last few decades. People might think that wallpaper could never be “in” again but it is making a comeback. Goop has decided to put their hat in the ring for their first-ever wallpaper collaboration.
Goop has teamed up with DIY textile brand Tempaper to release a non-toxic, floral wallpaper. In a press release, Tempaper creative director and co-founder Jennifer Matthews said, “It has been an incredible experience to join forces with a dynamic and iconic lifestyle brand like Goop. A partnership between our two brands was a perfect fit, as both companies strive to fulfill the needs of our consumers with beautiful and innovative products.”
The product description on Goop’s website says:
Mood-lifting and serene. Traditional yet modern. With a neutral dove-grey palette, Wings layers elegantly in whatever environment you have in mind. It’s a modern riff on classic European Chinoiserie patterns with vibrant birds, butterflies, and blossoms. In other words, it’ll gracefully bring any family room, front hall, guest bath, etc., to life. Bright idea: Try it before you buy it—purchase a sample swatch, which you can apply, live with for a little bit, and easily take off.
As Goop is a company that looks to encourage healthy lifestyles, it makes sense that this wallpaper is phthalate-free, VOC-free, and lead-free. It has eco-friendly ink and a water-based adhesive. No residue will be left behind when the wallpaper is peeled off and it goes on and off simply. According to Goop’s website, the product looks best when it is applied to smooth surfaces that have been primed and painted with satin and semi-gloss finishes. It is not recommended on flat or matte paints or textured surfaces.
You can buy a sample of the Goop x Tempaper 8.5″x11″ wallpaper for just $5.95. For the full-sized roll of wallpaper (27″ x 9 yards double roll – 60 sq ft. coverage) for $125. The pattern repeats every 27″. It takes three to four business days to ship out.
