Here’s a riddle: What makes your home bigger overnight?

Spring!

Once the weather warms up, all that outdoor space is just another room to hang out in. And this year, we’re redecorating. It’s time to turn that yard, patio, rooftop, or patch of grass into a vacation-worthy spot for sunny days and warm nights — whether you want to host friends, play games, or lounge with a good book.

We’re setting the whole scene with the latest seasonal finds from Walmart. From affordable outdoor furniture to extra-special accents that come in under budget, Walmart is the easiest, one-stop-shop to find everything you need to make this the best spring ever. Give yourself a break, too, with fast and easy pickup and delivery!

We’ve got even more ideas for making this the best spring ever. Find them here.

Start with Anchor Pieces

As soon as we spotted this fire pit table, we were already imagining twilight cocktail hours and late-night s’mores. It’s a showstopper all season long, but especially in early spring, when there can still be a nip in the air. Naturally, we needed some cozy seating to gather ’round it: These outdoor rockers are comfy and weather-resistant to boot. Fuzzy, tufted throw pillows (or subtler stripes) make them even more inviting.

Create Mini Rooms

Think of your outdoor space like a loft apartment: unbroken square footage in need of purpose! We delineated the fire pit area with a geometric area rug that pulls in the colors of those throw pillows. Then we used some complementary poufs to make an area for lounging — these are soft and comfy while still being weather- and fade-resistant. A striped umbrella adds shade and style, and a handsome plant stand does double duty as a side table for either area.

Entertain or just enjoy your new favorite room by keeping the dinner menu simple. Lemon pepper salmon with crispy potatoes tastes even better with a cool breeze.

Add Your Finishing Touches

Just like indoors, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference: like a twinkly string of globe lights at dusk and some on-trend rattan lanterns to shed light on cloudy days. And inside or out, more plants are always a good idea. We love the drip detail on these teal resin planters. The next time you’re relaxing outside (ideally with some refreshing lemonade), give yourself a moment to appreciate the details. Your oasis is finally complete.
